RHB-The Straits Times National Spelling Championship 2013

Harry Tan Jia Ming (Pr 5D) competed against 30 others in the Grand Finals of the RHB-The Straits Times National Spelling Championship on Saturday, 27 April 2013.

In the most competitive round of the spelling quest lasting more than two hours, the 31 finalists, who had earlier battled through two exciting rounds - the Preliminary on March 9 and the Zonals on April 13 - faced a judging panel from the Ministry of Education, English Language Institute of Singapore, The Straits Times, the National Library Board and the Speak Good English Movement. Each finalist took turns to spell aloud the words read out by a pronouncer.

We are proud of Harry for his excellent achievement - top 31 placing out of 1400 participants.
